Preformed Scotch-Seal Mastics 5313
Preformed, self-adhesive, synthetic elastomer mastics that adhere to a number of surfaces, such as plastic, metal, glass, concrete etc.
Their strong adhesive properties allow them to affix immediately to the surface, and the mastics will stay in place without being held.
They are non-polymerisable and their properties will not change after ageing for long periods in a wide range of environments.

This Scotch-Weld preformed sealant strip from 3M will fix immediately to a substrate and retain a firm hold, even after weathering. The pliable synthetic sealant is ideal for easy sealing and gap filling. It offers excellent resistance to water and heat, and it’s strong enough that the sealer will break before the adhesive comes loose when pulled in tension. This product is suitable for use on a variety of surfaces, including plastic, metal, glass and concrete.

Use as a non-curing strip that retains the same features and consistency after aging in several different environments. This sealing strip is often used in the automotive industry.
How do I apply a sealant strip?
Remove a small section of the backing tape and push the exposed adhesive onto the prepared substrate. Gradually remove the backing tape as you apply the remaining length of the strip, then press firmly along the strip to finish the application.
