3M DP 490 Two-part Epoxy Adhesive non-sag black 50ml

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ DP 490 is a toughened 2-part epoxy structural adhesive designed for high-performance bonding with excellent temperature and aging resistance.

Applications

• Bonding of metals, plastics (ABS, PC, PMMA, rigid PVC), and composite materials
• Suitable for structural bonding in automotive, equipment, machinery, and lightweight construction
• Ideal for high-temperature applications up to +120 °C

Features

• Very high shear and peel strength (up to 30 MPa / 230 N per 25 mm)
• Can be heat-cured or room-temperature cured
• Excellent resistance to aging, moisture, and weather
• Thixotropic (non-sag) – ideal for vertical applications
• Color: black (resin) / white (hardener)

Application Notes

• Clean and degrease bonding surfaces; roughen if needed (e.g. with Scotch-Brite™ 7447)
• Dispense with EPX manual applicator; use mixing nozzle (min. 20 elements)
• Recommended bond line thickness: 0.05-0.15 mm
• Fix parts for 4-6 hours until handling strength is reached
• Clean uncured material with ketone-based solvents

• Storage: 15-25 °C (recommended), shelf life 15 months
• Flash point: >100 °C
