Shell Omala S2 G 320

Application:

Shell Omala S2 G 320 is designed for enclosed industrial gear systems operating under heavy load. It features a sulphur-phosphorus EP additive system that provides excellent gear and bearing protection. The oil maintains thermal and oxidative stability, and is suitable for spur and helical gears, as well as bearings in circulating and splash-lubricated systems. Formerly known as Shell Omala Oils.

Performance Features & Benefits:

• Extended Oil Life: Withstands high thermal loads and resists sludge formation, extending maintenance intervals even at temperatures up to 100 °C.
• Wear and Corrosion Protection: EP additives minimize wear and protect steel components even in the presence of water or solid contaminants.
• Efficient Water Separation: Allows for easy drainage of water, helping to prevent surface fatigue and internal corrosion.

Main Application Areas:

• Enclosed industrial gearboxes with spur and helical gears
• Splash-lubricated and circulating bearing systems
• Not recommended for highly loaded worm drives or systems with fine filtration (<10 µm)
