Category:

Fosia Test H20

( Previously named: Hand refractometer Standard 20 )

Hand refractometer for testing cooling lubricant concentration
• For all emulsions and water-based lubricants
• Ensures correct concentration ratio (e.g. 5% = 1:20)
• Prevents over- or under-dilution
• Reduces coolant waste and disposal costs
• Measuring range: 0–20%
• Accuracy: ±0.2%
• Standardized for 20 °C
• Scale adjustable with distilled water

Application:

The Jokisch Fosia Test H20 is a precision hand refractometer for checking the concentration of water-soluble cooling lubricants, including emulsions and clear solutions.
It enables quick and reliable measurement to ensure the correct mixing ratio (e.g., 5% = 1:20), helping avoid excessive dilution or concentration.
Ideal for long-term process stability, reduced coolant consumption, and minimized disposal costs.

Technical Data:

Measuring range: 0 – 20%

Accuracy: ±0.2%

Standard reference temperature: 20 °C

Standard substance for calibration: distilled water

Instruction for Use:

Set the scale: Use distilled water to calibrate the scale. Open the prism cover, apply one drop of distilled water at 20 °C, and view through the eyepiece. Adjust the screw until the horizontal and vertical lines intersect at 0%.

Measure: Wipe the prism dry and apply a drop of the test sample. Close the prism cover and view the reading. Multiply the result by the specific refractometer index for your coolant type.

Note: Clean the prism after each use with cellulose or a soft cloth.
