KD-Check FWP-1 Fluorescent Penetrant for finest cracks 500ml spray

Applications

• Mainly used with serial testing of critical components, for example in the aerospace and automotive industry
• When used in stationary systems, a large number of components can be checked reproducibly for finest cracks within a short period of time
• In combination with dry developers, which are applied by spraying or electrostatically, the sensitivity during testing is increased even further

Application notes

1. Clean parts thoroughly. Ensure parts are free from grease, oil and other pollutants. Defects must be open to the surface. Dry the parts after cleaning. Recommended cleaner: KD-Check PR-1 (Ref. 23201454) or PR-2 (Art. No. 9907).
2. Apply Penetrant KD-Check FWP-1 to the clean and dry surface and allow to dwell for 5 – 10 minutes.
3. Remove the excess Penetrant KD-Check FWP-1 from the surface under Black-Light-control, either
   a) by rinsing it off with water or
   b) by wiping it off with a clean, lint-free cloth, barely dampened with cleaner KD-Check PR-1.
   Dry the surface.
4. Apply a wafer-thin film of Developer KD-Check SD-1 (Ref. 23201455) under Black-Light-control to thedry surface from a distance of about 20 cm. Too much developer may hide fine defects! Soon defects become visible as yellow-green fluorescent lines and development is complete after 5 – 10 minutes. Alternative KD-Ckeck DD-1 dry developer (Art.-No. 9908) may be used.
