Description
Strub Vulcogear Synt EP V5 PL 220 is a fully synthetic PAG-based lubricating oil (ISO VG 220) for high temperature lubrication up to 250 °C of heavily loaded helical bevel and planetary gears exposed to strong pressure loads.
Main features
- Very favorable viscosity-temperature behavior (high viscosity index).
- Excellent high and low temperature characteristics, continuous use temperature to 200° C, peak temperatures up to 250° C. At 250° C, no significant tendency to silting and separation.
- High oxidation stability and low coefficient of friction.
- High load carrying capacity and excellent protection against wear.
- Compared to a mineral oil the same viscosity at the operating temperature lowers to 10 to 25° C.
- No tendency to foaming, very good air release. Very good rust and corrosion protection.
- Non-miscible with mineral oil. The miscibility and compatibility with other synthetic gear oils must be clarified in each individual case.
- Sealing materials such as acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, Viton, PTFE are against VULCOGEAR SYNT EP V5 PL resistant.
- The compatibility with other elastomers to be checked in individual cases.
- VULCOGEAR SYNT EP V5 PL offers: Longer oil change intervals, more security, less interference in the operation, energy savings.
