3M™ Scotch-Weld™ 9323 B/A is a two-part Structural Epoxy Adhesive offering high shear and peel strength for bonding metals, plastics, and CFRP/GFRP composites.

Applications

• Structural bonding in lightweight construction, mechanical engineering, automotive and aerospace
• Adheres to: aluminum, steel, stainless steel, GFRP, CFRP, PMMA
• Suitable for thermal cycling, dynamic loads and chemical exposure
• Qualified for use in aerospace applications

Features

• Very high shear and peel strength on various substrates
• Toughened formulation with excellent impact resistance
• Resistant to: water, fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, salt spray
• Thixotropic paste – ideal for vertical and horizontal application
• Cures at room temperature or accelerated at 80 °C
• Work life: 120-150 minutes (depending on quantity & temperature)

Technical Data

Processing & Curing

• Recommended processing temperature: 20-25 °C
• Work life: 120-150 minutes depending on mix size (e.g. 130 g = ~120 min, 50 g = ~150 min)
• Optimal bondline thickness: 0.10-0.20 mm (glass beads optional)
• Handling strength after 4-5 hours (1 MPa)

Curing Schedule (Full Cure)

• 14 days at 23 °C (room temperature)
• 2 hours at 65 °C
• 15 minutes at 100 °C

Cleaning & Storage

• Remove uncured material with ketone-based solvents (e.g. MEK)
• Exothermic above 100 g – use shallow containers
• Store unopened in original packaging at 15-25 °C
• Shelf life: 12 months from date of shipment
